Mais en ce qui concerne l'excellent 17-40 je ne peux m'empécher de relever que ce qu'avance Canon, à savoir : 

    * Étanche à l'humidité et à la poussière


Est une pure vue de l'esprit car sinon qu'ils m'expliquent comment mon ancien 17-40 s'ets retrouvé avec de la poussière/du sable super fin à l'intérieur après une journée de 4x4 dans le désert ...

  Mais si tu peux, sinon il serait bloqué  ;D

J'ai été intéressé par la lecture et les conclusions de Teleconverters - Are they useful?: bobatkins (E) (http://www.bobatkins.com/photography/tutorials/tc3.html)

En bref :

1) (on le savait) il vaut mieux avoir un bon objectif pour envisager l'associer à un TCconverter

2) en remplissant la condition 1), cela vaut le coup de prendre un TC plutôt que de faire un crop sur une image sans TC. Cela parait logique dans la mesure où plus de lignes par mm (pellicules) ou plus de pixels définitont un même object grossi à la prise de vue.

Ce qu'on ne dit pas, c'est qu'il est beaucoup plus difficile de pointer et suivre un animal (surtout à plumes) avec de longues focales. Je vous conseille un APN (x1.6) avec un 600 mm + TCx1,4 soit l'équivalent de 1344 mm en 24x36 (mais moins lumineux tout de même) ;). On obtient beaucoup de photos de ciel bleu (sans oiseau).  :P

Ben oui, ou presque, 500+1.4+20D...Pfff  :'(

Beside the rear lens element of many (but not all) Canon lenses is a date code (as seen above) in the form of "UR0902". This code is also present on many other Canon products including camera bodies.
 
The first letter, "U", indicates that the lens was made in Canon's Utsunomiya, Japan factory. Prior to 1986, this letter is moved to the last position of the date code.
 
U = Utsunomiya, Japan
F = Fukushima, Japan
O = Oita, Japan
 
The second letter, "R", is a year code that indicates the year of manufacture. Canon increments this letter each year starting with A in 1986 and prior to that, A in 1960 without the leading factory code. Here is a table to make things simple:

The first two numbers, "09", is the month number the lens was manufactured in. Month 02 is February, month 11 = November. The leading zero of the month code is sometimes omitted.
 
The next two numbers, "02", are meaningless in determining how old a Canon lens is. This is a Canon internal code (that is occasionally omitted).
 
You now know the manufacture date for your lens - But - You cannot know how long the lens was in inventory, in shipping transit and on a shelf until it was originally purchased (without having the original receipt or a reputable person accurately informing you).
 
The Canon lens date code in the sample picture indicates that this Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L Lens (I know because I took the picture - not from the date code) was made in Utsunomiya, Japan in September 2003.

Un 200mm f2 IS USM et pour MCO un 800mm f5.6 L IS USM avec stabilisateur haute performance et un matériau tel que la fluorite pour la correction des aberrations. Pour le 800mmm Canon dit que les performances seront sup au 600mm f4

Un 800mm stabilisé? Probablement un peu lourd pour la billebaude, mais bon les piafs n'ont qu'à bien se tenir...
